About Ribbon Checkup

Ribbon Checkup is a health education site. We explain the tests, numbers, and screenings that come up in ordinary adult health care, in plain language, with the ranges and the caveats that product pages and lab reports leave out.

The four sections

Articles are reported pieces on how the body works, what the evidence says, and what changed.

Guides are step by step. How to test, how to read a result, how to choose between options.

Health Explained takes one number at a time, from a lab report or a test strip, and says what it measures, what is normal, and what makes it read wrong.

Preventive Health covers what to check, how often, and why. The screenings that change outcomes.

How we write

Every piece states what a test measures, the range that counts as normal, the common reasons it misreads, and the point at which a home result should become a conversation with a clinician. We do not make miracle claims. We do not run product pitches inside the content. Where guidelines disagree, we say so and name the sources. Read the full editorial policy.
